We will have the first volunteer meeting for the Center for Left Wing Studies on October 13 at 8pm eastern in the Volunteer Discord VC. Please look at the following roles to see if there’s something that interests you and follow the instructions.

Many of you have asked how to volunteer to support this effort, and it’s genuinely exciting how many people have expressed a desire to be involved. 

Here are some ways you can help.

1) RESEARCH

We need people who are willing to spend time researching different far left groups activists and organizations, and documenting all the critical information so that we may track them. This is a highly detail oriented job. Our goal is always quality data over quantity. 2) DATA ENTRY

We are essentially building out several giant databases of primary source leftist materials and it requires a ton of data entry. We’re not doing this the quick way, we’re doing it the right way to deliver high quality analysis and insights.

Volunteering for this effort requires you to have some familiarity with Karlyn’s work, have watched her educational streams, and participated in the community. This will help maintain data integrity. 3) ZINE READING, ARCHIVING, AND ANALYSIS

We are analyzing and archiving far left propaganda. If you don’t know what that means, you aren’t prepared for this role yet (but that’s ok, you can volunteer in other ways). Volunteering for this effort requires you to have an advanced level of understanding with Karlyn’s work, particularly in the area of Queer Marxism, have watched her educational streams, and participated in the community. You can’t analyze the zines until you understand the language fluently and know what to look for. 4) SPREAD THE WORD

If you’re not volunteering for data entry, or are new to Karlyn’s work and you want to learn more, join the Center’s Discord and ask to be made a member in the verification channel. You can help by suppoting and sharing the work and become more familiar with the left in the process.
